Part 4: Lore Behind the Yresyr

With our world at risk of disappearing, and with the absence of the mightiest defenders on the planet, a new group of fighters was needed to combat the force of the Yresyr in Ricardo's possession. Cameron recruited some close comrades to give the world a fighting chance. They had just arrived at JUMP HQ in San Francisco.
Adam and Sabrina, as their own selves, were the first to show up. Followed by Andrew, or 3rd Wheel, who had a wheel-shaped watch on his wrist. He inserted his car key into the watch and powered down as well as made his race car disappear.
"Good evening, Adam. Sabrina," Andrew greeted.
"Hey Andrew. What brings you here?" Adam asked.
"Curtis brings me here," Andrew replied. "What about you two?"
"Cameron summoned us here," said Sabrina.
"I guess you've been filled in on what's been going lately," Andrew guessed.
"We know very well," said Adam.
Angie and Tanner arrived together in a JUMP jet. Tanner was still in his trench coat, hat, and shades. It was already evening so the sun wasn't out but Tanner still didn't want to be exposed to the moon light.
"Hey guys," Angie greeted.
"Hi Angie. Hi, Guy-I'm-Not-Sure-I-Know," Andrew greeted Angie and the cloaked Tanner.
"It's me," Tanner replied lifting his shades.
"Tanner?" said Adam.
"Aren't you hot in that?" Sabrina asked.
"Let's just go inside," Tanner insisted.
Everyone entered JUMP HQ. Tanner threw off his disguise.
"Why are you wearing that stuff?" Adam asked.
"Oh. I get it. It's about that little accident, isn't it?" said Andrew.
"How do you know?" Tanner asked.
"You were on the news. Mad, purple, and orange. Leveled a whole town in a day," said Andrew.
"I'd rather forget about that," said Tanner.
Claudia and Lester were the first two to greet the group.
"Welcome to JUMP Headquarters. We've been waiting for you," Claudia greeted.
"We're here now," said Andrew.
"Oh my god, it's really them!" Lester said excitedly.
He had some comic books in his hands.
"I've read so much about you guys. Do you think you could sign my comics?" Lester asked.
"Lester? Not now, please?" said Claudia pulling him away. "Cameron's waiting to see you in his office. Follow me."
Claudia lead the group to Cameron's office. Lester was bugging them the whole way. He was talking to Adam and Sabrina.
"I gotta say, it's an honor to meet you officially. I sort of met you. I mean, while I was sleeping. I met you in my dreams," Lester told them.
"Ooookay," Adam replied awkwardly.
Lester put his arms around Andrew and Tanner.
"So when you guys are all done saving the world and stuff, you wanna check out my action figures? I have collections of all of you," said Lester.
"Touch me again and you'll be an inaction figure," Tanner warned.
Lester slowly backed away. He knew what would happen if Tanner became annoyed or angered.

Simon was doing his best to get a hold of me still to no success.
"It's no use, Chief. Rod's line has been busy this whole time. I can't get through to him," said Simon.
"Never mind. Just try to get to a hold of the Forever Heroes. Maybe they can at least give Rod the news," said Cameron.
"I'll try, chief," said Simon.
As Simon tried to get in touch with the Forever Heroes, Claudia entered Cameron's office with the group.
"Great. You're here," said Cameron.
"We came as soon as we got the message," said Angie.
"Thanks for asking nicely," Tanner said sarcastically.
"Sorry. But with our agents gone we really need all the help we can get," said Cameron.
"We're willing to help. But we don't know all the facts yet," said Andrew.
"You haven't even told us the threat we're up against. Who is it?" Angie asked.
"I want to tell you when you got here," Cameron replied.
"Oh. Well we should be here any second now," Tanner sarcastically remarked.
"You're annoyed, aren't you?" Cameron asked.
"Just don't keep me waiting any longer. I'm still unsure about being in public," said Tanner.
"Listen to him, Cam. Knowing this dude's history, it's best not to get on his bad side," Lester advised.
Cameron was still wondering why Lester was still around but didn't have time for that. He turned to the recruits.
"Your threat is not to be taken lightly. He did away with our agents and Rights Fighters with ease. And here he is," said Cameron.
A wanted picture of Ricardo appeared on the big monitor behind Cameron. The recruits just looked at it dumbfounded and confused.
"Ricardo?" said Adam.
"Seriously?" said Sabrina.
"How the hell could he be a threat? Are you sure you got the right guy?" Andrew asked.
"Positive. He broke into our lab and stole the pyramid we've kept there for the past couple of months. That seems to be what's giving him the power to delete reality and existence," Cameron replied.
"Tch. He's nowhere near capable of doing something this. The guy couldn't even ruin a birthday party for Rod," said Tanner.
"Speaking of Roddy, you told me this was about him to get me to come along. But I don't see him here," said Angie.
"Yeah, about that. It kind of is about him. It's his rival. So sort of about Rod. Just about... 3%," said Cameron.
"Where is Rod? Does he know about this?" Andrew asked.
"As far we know, no. In fact he was supposed to be here with you guys too. But we're having the hardest time contacting him. We're still trying to find him by seeing if the Forever Heroes know where he's at," said Cameron.
Simon was still trying to contact the Forever Heroes but still couldn't get through. There was no answer from any of them.
"I've tried everything, chief. I can't find the Forever Heroes either. They're not responding," said Simon.
"That's awful," said Claudia.
"It makes sense. Ricardo's doing away with anything that threatens him. In that case we can assume he deleted the Forever Heroes off the face of the world too if they're not responding," Cameron figured.
"So if the Forever Heroes are gone and Rod's not responding either... do you think?" Adam wondered.
"I think so. It most likely explains why we can't get in touch with Rod. Rod's been a thorn in Ric's side for a long time. More than likely Ric has erased him too," said Cameron.
That came as a shock to the recruits to hear those words. This only made them angrier. Andrew clenched his fists firmly.
"That bastard. He even erased my bromigo in the process. How low can you get?" said Andrew.
"JUMP, BUMP, the Forever Heroes, and even my own Rights Fighters comrades was enough but erasing a friend from existence is going too far," said Adam.
Tanner was trying his hardest to contain his fury.
"You guys might wanna step away," Tanner warned.
The recruits stepped away from Tanner who smashed his fist, with a dark aura like the night, on Cameron's desk, smashing it in two. Luckily nobody was hurt.
"And I had one more payment to go on that too," Cameron lamented.
"Sorry. Had to let it out. And I can't contain it anymore. Whether I want to be here or not, I gotta get out," said Tanner.
"Get in line. Ol' Ricky's going to wish he never started this," said Angie.
"Hold it guys. We don't even know where to find Ric right now," said Andrew.
"Andrew's right. My dad and some other officials are currently working on trying to locate Ricardo right now. Until they do, you'll just have to lay low around here in the mean time," said Cameron.
"Alright. But hurry," said Adam.
At that moment, Cameron's secretary entered the office.
"Sorry to interrupt, chief. But there is someone who wants to see you," she said.
"Is it Rod?" Cameron asked.
"I hope it is," said Andrew.
"No chief. It's a woman who says it's very urgent. With information regarding the pyramid that was stolen," the secretary said.
"Is that so? Well if she has any information on how to find it and Ric then bring her in," said Cameron.
The secretary brought the visiting woman into Cameron's office. It was Idolfaith.
"Hello there," Idolfaith greeted.
"Who is that?" Tanner wondered.
"She's hot," said Andrew.
"Yeah. Almost hotter than you, Claudia," said Lester.
"Oh reallY?" Claudia groaned offended.
"Can I help you?" Cameron asked.
"Actually I believe I can help you," said Idolfaith.

As things were going on in San Francisco, Ricardo was now in Italy. The city of Pisa to be exact. He wasn't causing any mischief. Just looking down at the city from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pis biding his time while Ivan got everything set for Rebecca's return. Everything seemed to be in order and though he would be excited to present the world to Rebecca, something else seemed to be on his mind right now. Ric was starting to remember an unseen moment that occurred after he agreed to follow Effron and before he arrived in San Francisco to get the Yresyr.

Flashback

After Ric agreed to follow Effron, the two arrived in distant world out in space that looked like a dark wasteland with no sign of life anywhere. Effron was speaking to someone while Ric stood beside him. That same person handed Ric the scepter he now possesses. After a while, Ric was standing out in the open awaiting Effron to send him back to Earth. Effron arrived.
"Shall I go with you?" Effron offered.
"I'll go myself. The world is for my loved one and if I want results I'm satisfied with then I'll handle the job alone," Ric answered.
"Alone? Against the meager might of Earth?" Effron asked.
"It's glorious. The right gift for her. I just hope what you've told me about this... this Yresyr, is not fictional. If it's as formidable as you say it is," said Ric.
"You question us? You question him? He who put the scepter in your hand? Who gave you ancient knowledge and a new purpose while you were down, defeated?"
"I was famous! Most beloved actor in Hollywood. Until that annoyance came along and took it from me. He continues to deny me what I want to this day. The result is always the same. I lose. And yet, I continue to try again and again as many times as it takes. I just keep coming back for more. I was down but not defeated."
"Your ambition is little. Full of childish need. We look beyond the Earth to greater worlds the Yresyr will make accessible. That is, if you do in fact keep up your end of the deal by obliterating those pathetic Forever Heroes who keep us from claiming those other worlds. The Yresyr and the Earth is yours to keep. Just as long as you do as we agreed."
Effron moved in closer to Ric.
"That was our agreement, wasn't it? In exchange for giving you this knowledge and allowing you to keep your petty, little world down there for your loved one. All you have to do is wipe out our adversaries and you're free to do as you wish with the power of the Yresyr and we'll leave you be," Effron stated.
"How can I trust you?" Ric asked suspiciously.
Effron reached for Ric's neck to force him into believing. But he stopped immediately before he grabbed him.
"I don't threaten. But until I have the Yresyr in my grasp, until I see that you speak the truth of it's power, until the world is hers to command, you're nothing but words," said Ric.
Effron lowered his hand and paced around Ric.
"You'll have your power, human. Just know this. If you fail to keep up your end of the bargain, if the Forever Heroes continue to live on, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he can not find you," Effron threatened, breathing down Ric's neck. "You think you know pain? He'll make you long for something as sweet as PAIN!"
Upon finishing, Effron quickly grabbed Ric by his face, ending the flashback.

End flashback

Ric immediately came to as if he felt Effron really grab him at that moment. He shrugged it off and started to leave. Of course, Ric had nothing to fear of Effron's threat. He kept up his end of the deal just as they agreed. And yet this still remained on his mind.

Idolfaith was still speaking with Cameron and the others there.
"I want to help you reclaim the Yresyr. In fact, that's the whole reason why I'm here in the first place," said Idolfaith.
"Who are you?" Claudia asked.
"And are you single?" Andrew asked.
"Andrew!" everyone snapped.
"My name's Idolfaith. I'm what the Forever Heroes refer to as a Forever Deity. Forever Deity of Hope," said Idolfaith.
"The Forever Deities are who fill in Vic, Crow, and the others about things going on. But I heard from them that they reside in another world," said Adam.
"And that they can't come into our world but only make themself known," said Sabrina.
"If you're one of them then how are you here?" Adam asked.
"I'm here on behalf of all the Forever Deities, including the Supreme One above us all. I couldn't come here as myself so I had to leave behind my divinity and powers. In order to come here to meet you all," Idolfaith explained.
"How do we really know you're one of them?" Tanner asked.
Idolfaith took off and showed her gemstones. The gemstones all Forever Deities wear, other than their crystals.
"We Forever Deities are given these as symbols. Besides our crystals that hold our power. I had to leave mine behind, however," said Idolfaith.
"Vic and Crow did describe their watcher, Prospedite, with gemstones like that," said Adam.
"But what would you want the Yresyr for?" Angie asked.
"We Forever Deities have been searching for it for the longest time. That sacred object doesn't belong in this world," said Idolfaith.
"You claimed to have information regarding the Yresyr," Cameron asked.
"I already know that a human is in possession of it. I know that he's deleted this planet's greatest defenders who pose the biggest threat to him. It was the disappearance of my fellow Deities' Forever Heroes that made me aware of the situation. Once Prospedite, Exaltheart, and Sacremight told me about the disappearance of their chosen heroes they told me about it," said Idolfaith.
"So you know what we're up against. But do you have any other information that we don't already know?" Claudia asked.
"I know a vast knowledge of the Yresyr's history and those who once possessed it. I'm here to stop such a catastrophe from happening again," said Idolfaith.
"Again? You mean this has happened before?" Angie asked.
"Once in the past. Many centuries ago," said Idolfaith.
This brought up a flashback of events that happened before.

Flashback

"Once a long time ago..." Idolfaith narrated.
"Stories always start like this. Boring," Andrew interrupted.
"Andrew!" everyone groaned.
"As I was saying, once a long time ago there was a peaceful world. A huge world and highly populated. It was a world we Forever Deities never watched over. That's because it already had it's own watchers," Idolfaith continued.
The entire world was indeed at peace. The inhabitants going on about their business without worry. Though since it was highly populated, it was very crowded and always people at every turn.
"Though these god-like watchers never really agreed often, they helped keep the balance of this world. Because it was so crowded with countless inhabitants, these two would determine who lives and who ceases to live," said Idolfaith.
"You mean die," Andrew commented.
"Please spare us the commentary, Andrew," said Angie.
"Well yes. They determine who lives and who dies in order to keep this world from becoming too overpopulated. The job belonged to two watchers of this world. One who resided above the world, sending new life down to the world, and another who resided below, responsible for erasing lives. The two kept the world balanced as best as they could but since the world was so huge, there were always so many lives to keep up with. Until one day, a strange object was discovered. A very valuable pyramid-shaped object. This of course was the Yresyr. The watcher responsible for erasing lives, known as the Kroni, Riser of the Abyss, found this object," said Idolfaith.
A fiendish, god-like being stumbles upon the Yresyr and takes it.
"He discovered the Yresyr had the power to quickly wipe out lives and the Kroni figured it would make his job easier. However, he soon discovered that the Yresyr not only erases life but anything that exists as well. The Kroni used the Yresyr to erase reality and change things in the world so it wouldn't be too overpopulated and large. However, this power had gone to his head and the Kroni began to abuse the Yresyr's power, erasing anything that exists for his own amusement. The Kroni just could not help himself. It was like a hunger that wouldn't cease until all reality was erased and there was no world left. All that existed were but playthings. The whole world he watched was becoming sorely unbalanced. It was then that the watcher responsible for bringing new life to the world had to act. This watcher was known as the Mighty, Descender of the Storm."
A thunder storm broke out in the sky and another god-like being descended from above.
"The Mighty arrived to stop the Kroni before he went to far and the whole world would cease to be and they would not have a world to watch over anymore."
The Mighty and the Kroni start to fight, towering over all that resides under their feet.
"In a titanic clash to determine the fate of the world they kept intact, the Mighty and the Kroni fought with the Kroni gaining the upper hand thanks to the endless amount of power granted to him by the Yresyr."
The Mighty tries his best to overcome the Kroni to no avail. The Kroni was much too powerful for him.
"The Mighty did not want their world to disappear but knew he was no match for the Kroni. He just couldn't be stopped. Something had to be done and the Mighty knew what he had to do as a last resort in order to keep the world he cared for from vanishing. The inhabitants who believe in the Mighty and the Kroni believe them to be immortal. That would soon be proven false."
The Mighty gathers all of his divine power together to unleash it all upon the Kroni.
"Using every bit of his might, the Mighty unleashed a blow that could not only destroy the Kroni but also himself and even the world they watched. But it was a risk the Mighty was willing to take. Even if it cost him his life and his own world, at least no other outside world would fall to the wrath of the Kroni and the Yresyr."
The Mighty unleashes a vicious explosion that rips through the Kroni, destroying him. However it also destroys the Mighty himself as well as the world he cared for.
"The Mighty's attack destroyed the Kroni and took the Mighty's own life as well. The world the two watchers struggled to keep balanced was no more as well. This result was the ultimate demise of the Descender of the Storm and the Riser of the Abyss. Both beings, thought to have been immortal, gone. Entirely erased from existence themselves. That was the last of the Mighty and the Kroni."
The Yresyr drifts off somewhere else into the unknown.
"However, the Yresyr itself was still intact, entirely unharmed by the Mighty's attack. It drifted off elsewhere never to be seen again. That is, until this very day."

End flashback

"That's quite a history with that thing. That's so awesome!" said Lester.
"Yeah, quite a story. Could make a good one someday. I'll have to think about this one," Andrew thought.
"The Forever Deities looked out for the Yresyr to resurface so that we could prevent the disaster from happening again. Unfortunately, it's already been discovered and we're too late. Someone else has found it first," said Idolfaith.
"So the same thing could happen again, possibly?" Sabrina asked.
"If the Yresyr falls into the hands of one who could abuse it's power then history will repeat itself," Idolfaith answered.
"That means Ric could continue doing what the Kroni originally started," said Cameron.
"In a way that'd kind of make him like some sort of spiritual successor to the Kroni. Like today's modern Kroni. How cool is that?" Lester said excitedly.
"Okay, seriously. Why are you still here?" Cameron asked him.
"This human that you call Ricardo could pose the same the threat as the Kroni did. But what I don't understand is that the Yresyr is said only to allow itself to be used by those it trusts. Those who want to use it's power for something good," said Idolfaith.
"For something good? Then how can you explain the Kroni able to use it and Ricardo too?" Adam asked.
"Well the Kroni originally wanted to use the Yresyr to make the world he watched balanced and better for those who lived there to avoid overpopulation. That was his original idea until he realized what the Yresyr is truly capable of. As for how Ricardo is able to wield it, I don't know. He must've had some sort of intention that was not meant for his own personal satisfaction," Idolfaith thought.
"You're saying he's doing this for another reason? What reason is there for wiping out the world's mightiest defenders?" Tanner argued.
"Again, I don't know. I've come to your world to take the Yresyr away so no mortal can ever abuse it's power and to prevent another catastrophe like this from happening again. Unfortunately, without my divine powers, I can't do that myself. That's why I came here to speak with you. To ask for your assistance to help get the Yresyr so I can take it to Forever Realm. There, no one can get their hands on it ever again," said Idolfaith.
"You want us to help you?" Angie asked.
"What's in it for us?" Andrew asked.
"Andrew!" everyone scolded him.
"The Forever Deities require the help of mortals to keep the order in the galaxies they reside in. But our previous Forever Heroes are no longer here. I guess you could say I'm here to seek help in that same way as the other Deities do," said Idolfaith.
All five recruits were thinking hard on this. On one hand, it's the same exact task Cameron summoned them for but on the other hand, after hearing Idolfaith's story of the Yresyr, things were certainly not going to be pretty if history repeated itself.
"I can understand if you're a little unsure. So much is at stake and there's a lot of pressure," said Idolfaith.
"And me and the other guys are terrible under pressure," said Tanner.
"Especially considering what our threat possesses. The Yresyer allows whoever possesses it to erase reality as they please. Anything and anyone that displeases them will disappear. It's a risk not just anyone would be willing to take. once you start, there's no turning back. To stop Ricardo will be a complicated challenge. You might disappear yourselves," said Idolfaith.
There was indeed more pressure on the five now than there was previously. If the previous heroes couldn't stand up to the Yresyr then how could they? But if they could then who else would there be to turn to for help? They were the world's last hope.
"Challenge accepted," said Adam.
"Really?" Idolfaith asked.
"I'm game," Andrew agreed.
"Me too," said Sabrina.
"Don't forget me," said Angie.
"Alright. I'll take the chance. But don't get mad at me if I accidentally hurt anyone," said Tanner.
"You can accidentally hurt Ric all you want for all I care," said Andrew.
"He's got it coming," said Adam.
"Then you agree to go through with it?" Idolfaith asked.
"We do," said Andrew.
"Thank you so much. I'm very grateful and I'm sure the other Forever Deities are as well," Idolfaith thanked.
"But you wanna know how you can repay me?" Andrew asked.
"Andrew!" everyone groaned.
"What'd I do?" Andrew asked.
"Are all humans like Exaltheart down here?" Idolfaith wondered.
"Well it looks like we're all in this together for the same purpose. Thank you for the information, Idolfaith," Cameron thanked.
"I just really want to help set things right," said Idolfaith.
"Can you tell us anything about the Yresyr that we ought to know now?" Cameron asked.
"You should've left it in the desert," said Adam.

Meanwhile, Curtis and other JUMP officials were doing what they could to locate wherever Ricardo might be in the world.
"It's like looking for a five-leaf clover," Curtis groaned.
Cameron, Claudia, and Idolfaith went over to him.
"Any luck, dad?" Cameron asked.
"None. We're tapping into every security camera in the world but since there are so many, it's taking much too long to locate Ric," said Curtis.
Idolfaith decided to help anyway she could.
"You know, I may lack my powers as a Forever Deity but I do still possess my more basic powers. I can probably help find Ric," Idolfaith offered.
"Who is this? Claudia, you shouldn't bring any of yours friends around here," said Curtis.
"She's nobody I know, Curtis. But she's here to help us in our time of need," said Claudia.
"Can you really locate Ric, Idolfaith?" Cameron asked.
"Well I can try. I can't find his exact location but I can give a good idea of where to search for him," Idolfaith replied. "I just need to focus for a bit."
Idolfaith took her gemstones, which began to shimmer as she focused on locating wherever Ric might be.
"What's she doing?" Curtis wondered.
"Whatever it is, let her do it," said Claudia.
"He seems to be somewhere in the same continent Adam came from. Somewhere in the mid-southern part," said Idolfaith.
"The mid-southern part of Europe," said Curtis.
The JUMP officials searched on their computers, through the security cameras located across all countries there.
"You're searching every camera in every country. How long is this possibly going to take?" Cameron wondered.
"I think we found a match, sir. 67% match," one JUMP official stated. "Wait. Cross that. 79%."
"Well that didn't take long," said Cameron.
"Location?" asked Curtis.
"Florence, Italy," the official answered.
Ricardo was shown onscreen, just walking around the city, scepter in hand, not really doing anything suspicious.
"He doesn't seem to be hiding. He's out in the open," said the official.
"That's him alright," said Cameron.
"Then that's where the others are headed to," said Claudia.
"I'll inform them right now," said Idolfaith.
She left the room to tell the five heroes where to go.

Lester was bothering the five heroes once again with his constant babbling about how he's a fan of them.
"I mean, if it's not too much trouble," said Lester.
"That's... fine," said Adam.
"I've been collecting every single issue of comics of you guys all along and own them all. They're vintage. Near mint," Lester bragged. "Slight wrinkles and tears around the edges but still fine."
"You're quite the collector," Tanner groaned bored.
"Finding some issues weren't easy. Took me a couple of years to collect them all," Lester went on.
"I highly doubt we've been around for years exactly," said Andrew.
"Well you know what I mean," said Lester.
Then he took out his cellphone with a JUMP skin on it.
"Hey, how about a group photo?" Lester offered.
Then came Idolfaith with their assignment.
"Gentlemen, and ladies, you're up," she told them.
"Yes! Thank god!" Andrew cried.
"Tell us where to go so we can get the hell out of here!" said Tanner.
They seemed to have heard enough from Lester and just wanted to get away from his as far as possible.
"Ricardo seems to be in a place called Florence, Italy. He doesn't seem to be hiding or doing anything sinister. So this will be the perfect opportunity to catch him off guard," said Idolfaith.
"Then it looks it's up to us to stop him," said Sabrina.
"If nobody else will then we'll have to," Angie thought.
"Yeah. If only Rod was here to come along," said Andrew.
"If what we think really happened to him, if Ric really did erase him just like everyone else, then he's definitely going to pay," said Adam.
Tanner cracked his knuckles.
"Guess I have no choice. Gonna have to let the other guys take over from here," Tanner thought.
"Just please try to keep yourself cool while we're out there," said Angie.
"It's been a while since I've had to do this. Hopefully I still have some control over the other two," said Tanner.
"Then let's get going. The world's depending on us. Let's show that chump he can't get away with this," said Andrew.
Cameron entered the room.
"I guess Idolfaith's already filled you in on your destination. We'll be sending some JUMP officers along for the ride. We want you to bring Ricardo back here so we can take the Yresyr from him. And make him pay for what he's done," said Cameron.
"I want to see you guys in action. Can I come along?" Lester asked.
"NO!" the heroes snapped.
"Alright. Andrew. Adam. Sabrina. Tanner. Angie. You have your objective. We're all counting on you," said Idolfaith.
"We're on our way. Alright, team. Suit up," Andrew instructed.
Andrew took out his watch and key and transformed into 3rd Wheel. Angie took out her charm and enchanted herself, transforming into Hex. Adam spun around, thinking positive thoughts, and became Yellow Fire. Sabrina drank a special potion that transformed her into Fuchsia Heart. Finally, Tanner looked up at the moon in the sky and felt the transformation coming over him along with aggression and became Dark Moon. Andrew flew away with his jet in his palms and boots. Adam followed with his flight powers while Angie gave Sabrina a special flight enchantment since she didn't have the power to fly and they followed. Tanner summoned a comet and rode after them on it. Some JUMP jets and helicopters followed. Lester was feeling extra excited about this whole thing.
"Check it out. A team of superheroes out to conquer evil. That is so epic!" said Lester.
"Yeah. It is epic. But seriously. WHY are you still here?!" said Cameron.
Idolfaith was wishing the five heroes the best of luck in spirit. She was really depending on them to help keep the same disaster that once happened from happening again.
"Good luck, all of you," Idolfaith prayed.

Everywhere, allover nations, newspapers were printed and distributed. All of them with front page articles about the disappearance of their great heroes. The crime rate was up now, with criminals running amok everywhere, and no one was there to stop them. The articles read the following.
"Where are you, JUMP?"
"Forever Heroes, Forever Gone?"
"We Need You, Rights Fighters!"

Many of the mentioned heroes greatest adversaries were causing mayhem everywhere they went. Leech and his assassins were robbing a meat market. Deilo was driving around shooting at everything and everyone. Dr. Nefarion was injecting a serum into people that turned them into his slaves. Mind Game was leading a robot army. Dr. Wiz was robbing a jewelry shop. Hardened Heartless took a candy from a wailing baby. It was an absolute mess that was way too out of hand. All the chaos was being broadcast over the news.
"Citizens everywhere are fleeing in terror. Dozens of criminals have all gone hostile, spreading mischief and chaos everywhere they go. Oddly enough, our beloved heroes, mainly the Justice Upholding Missionary Program stationed in San Francisco, the Forever Heroes, heroes from distant worlds, and the Rights Fighters, stationed in Europe, are nowhere to be found. The criminals continue to run amok while our heroes absent. The disappearance of these beloved heroes is a mystery but we could really use them about now. Just where are they?" said the spokesperson.

All the while, I was just sitting at home, feeling rather lonely without anyone around. I tried my best to get in touch with anyone I could, Rhonda, Gloria, Vic, Crow, but just couldn't. I was wondering what they were up to and why they wouldn't respond. Things didn't seem right. I had a bouquet of flowers which were meant for Rhonda when we met for our date but it seemed that wasn't going to happen if she wouldn't respond to me. I sighed and tossed the flowers aside. I needed to get my mind off of this so I turned on the television, which came on with the news showing.
"Criminals everywhere refuse to listen to reason and continue to terrorize innocent citizens," said the spokesperson.
This caught my attention when I saw the many evil-doers on television just running amok, uncontrollably with no one there to do anything about them.
"Police everywhere are doing what they can to restrain these outlaws during the absence of our heroes. But even they seem to be outmatched. It truly is a nightmare," said the spokesperson.
Condor, Geneva, and Alexis were causing trouble at a mall. Condor was launching dark magic, Geneva was attacking innocent people for their blood, and Alexis was launching sonic booms shattering things. Each of them were laughing evilly together.
"Over by the pool, girls!" said Geneva.
But it wasn't a pool. It was the mall's fountain and the three girls were posing in it like they were part of the fountain.
"Hi dad," Condor said to the camera.
The camera abruptly turned away and back to the spokesperson.
"One question remains to be answered. Just where are the Forever Heroes, JUMP, and the Rights Fighters? Citizens claimed to have seen this individual previously confronting the mentioned heroes, possibly a hint to their absence," said the spokesperson.
A snapshot of Ricardo, in his Kroni attire, was shown onscreen. Though it wasn't the greatest quality, and still a bit foggy, I could still make it out and was shocked to see who it was.
"It's unclear who this individual is or why he was present the last time the Forever Heroes, JUMP, and Rights Fighters were last seen. If you recognize this individual or have clues regarding the disappearance of the mentioned heroes, police advice you to keep your distance from him and contact them immediately. We'll bring you more details as they come. For now, we can only hope our beloved heroes come to our rescue. We need them now more than ever," the spokesperson finished.
I reached for the remote and turned the TV off. Now it all made sense to me. This had to be the reason why I couldn't get in touch with Rhonda, Gloria, or Vic and Crow. But to discover that my own rival, one who I thought would and could never ever resort to something like this was a surprise. Ricardo must have done something to them if they wouldn't respond to my calls. Things just didn't seem to be going right for me lately. Josh abandons my group, my date with Rhonda is ruined, and now she and the others aren't here to stop all this crime that has been going around. I couldn't believe I was not in the know about this. How could all of this have possibly slipped by without me knowing anything? I knew that Ricardo is jealous of me and he does what he can to annoy me, even resorting to framing me and ruining my birthday, but this was going too far. To think I trusted him to help me stop Malvikod once and now he does this. But why would he even do this? What's the purpose? Was this something he had been conjuring up since the last time we saw each other on Halloween? Whatever the case, something had to be done. But I highly doubt contacting the authorities like the news suggested will solve anything. Ricardo's stepped up his game and has become a threat. A new threat that has appeared since Malvikod. And I never thought another threat would ever come up. I suppose now was the time to resort to it. The one thing Vic advised me to use in case he and Crow weren't around or if another terrible threat reared it's ugly head.
I took out the card that Vic gave me and went down into the storage. I came to a card-reading device on a wall and slide the card through it, gaining access into a secret storage room. A room Vic had placed the thing he worked very hard to make me for emergencies like this. I entered the room and came to a display under a light. It appeared to be a type of blue, metallic headgear or helmet to be worn around the head with two curved horns with blades on the front and bladed wings on the side. I just could not believe I was actually resorting to this after I had thought I never would. But the time had come.

All seemed well in the city square of Piazza della Rupubblica in Florence, Italy. Nothing too out of the ordinary. All was as it should be. And this quietness was irritating Ricardo who had just entered the square.
"These fools don't realize their true purpose yet. They're entirely oblivious to the fact that they'll become loyal to my love," Ric whispered to himself.
He was becoming very bored with his little tour of Italy and wanted a thrill.
"Time to put these people in their place," Ric thought.
He strolled through the square casually like everyone else until he slashed his scepter's blade at an innocent passerby, slashing their chest. Everyone turned and saw Ric thrust his scepter into the body of the passerby, though this wasn't shown onscreen for being too graphic. Everyone who saw it shrieked and fled the scene in horror as Ric's Kroni outfit appeared on him. An ambulance came rushing to the scene to help the injured citizen but Ric blasted it away with a beam from his mouth, blasting it into a street stand that was selling familiar, popular Hasbro toys.
"I wasn't even aiming for the ambulance," said Ric.
The citizens rushed to the exits of the square, which were blocked off by Ricardo duplicates.
"Kneel for my loved one," Ric ordered.
But everyone was too terrified to obey him. Ric and his duplicates slammed their scepters in the ground to silence them.
"I said KNEEL!!!" Ric shouted with his voice like thunder.
Everyone stopped and got on their knees. Ric smirked and walked into the crowd.
"Bueno. Is this not simpler? Is this not your natural state? Get used to it. Starting today, for the rest of your sad, pathetic lives you'll all be kneeling before the atrocious, heavenly beauty that is my loved one. You don't know now but she is the one who will control you. Know the name. Now and forevermore, you'll fear and worship your eventual ruler... Rebecca. She is my loved one. And you, all of you unimportant people and your meaningless world, are my gift to her," Ric stated.
He continued walking through the submitting citizens, who only continued to kneel in fear.
"And don't think you won't be submitting to her. You will be one way or another. You have no choice. And especially don't think your stupid heroes will come to your rescue. They are no longer with you. No one's to stop me from shaping a perfect world for my love," Ric declared.
He stood proudly over them all, like a king or an overlord. Just as the Kroni once stood proudly over the world he watched.
"Where are your almighty heroes now? Where are the great defenders of your world who risk their lives to save yours? No one's here to save you anymore. Look around. The world you see it as now will be gone. Everything will be changed. All to please her. Together, my love and I will decide the fate of all of you and the world you live in and no one will be there to free you. Your fate has already been decided. It's inevitable. You will worship her whether you choose to or not. If you don't, you too will disappear with the world you once lived in. In the end, you'll all submit to her," Ric announced.
The entire crowd was hushed, all of them too afraid to rise up. All except for one brave, elderly man, who refused to submit and stood up above them all.
"Not to men like you," the man stated.
Ric laughed.
"There are no men like me," said Ric.
"There are always men like you," said the man.
Ric pointed the shining tip of his scepter at the old man.
"Look to your elder, people. Let him be an example," said Ric.
Just as Ric was about to shoot the man, a rocketing shot right at him, stopping his attack. 3rd Wheel arrived just in time.
"Did you miss me?" 3rd Wheel greeted.
"Who the hell?" Ric gasped.
"You know there's a old story set in Italy where a man's wife warns him not to go to the Capitol in Rome which ultimately leads to his demise. You shouldn't have come here," said 3rd Wheel.
"You're the one who shouldn't have come here," said Ric.
"And I'm not alone," said 3rd Wheel.
A pillar of fire shot downward by 3rd Wheel's side and Yellow Fire appeared from it. Ric looks at him and recognizes him as a Rights Fighter.
"Looks like I missed one," said Ric.
"You missed two," Yellow Fire corrected.
From the corner of Ric's eye came a heart blast and he slashed it with his scepter. It was Fuchsia Heart.
"What is this?" Ric groaned in annoyance.
The citizens fled and left everything to the heroes. There, the three stood face-to-face with the one responsible for this mess.
"This is a surprise. What brings you here?" Ric asked.
"You know why we're here," said 3rd Wheel.
"You rubbed out my friends! You rubbed out everyone!" said Yellow Fire.
"Always room for more," Ric insisted.
Some JUMP jets and helicopters hovered overhead, with their lights shining down on Ric. Hex stood on the tip of the Column of Abundance in the square.
"Put down the weapon and come quietly!" Hex ordered.
Ric refused to surrender and shot down one of the JUMP helicopters. It was about to crash down on some innocent citizens.
"I got it," said Yellow Fire.
Yellow Fire went to save the people as 3rd Wheel fought off Ric.

3rd Wheel came punching at Ric, which were powered by the afterburners in his gloves for swift movement. He managed to smack Ric a good one in his face. Though it didn't phase him much.
"You hit the Kroni?" Ric snarled.
"The what?" said 3rd Wheel.
Ric smacked 3rd Wheel away with his scepter. Fuchsia Heart came from behind with a fistful of pink energy. Ric caught her fist with his own hand but she used her other hand to project a pink wave at his chest, pushing him away.
Meanwhile, Yellow Fire was stopping the falling JUMP helicopter from crashing into the innocent people using his super strength and speed. He managed to stop it before it could even crash. The people were saved.
"You're welcome. Now to deal with that guy," said Yellow Fire.
Ric launched a slash wave from his scepter to Hex and Fuchsia Heart, who managed to dodge it. Then Yellow Fire came with a flaming kick. Ric stopped him with his scepter and shot him down. He held Yellow Fire down with his scepter.
"Kneel," Ric demanded.
"Not today," Yellow Fire answered with another flaming kick, pushing Ric off.
Hex summoned an upward series of lasers from the ground that shut upward at Ric. He was getting very frustrated now. He was about to attack all four of the heroes when a flaming disc came at him. Ric smashed it away with his scepter but it went around him and hit him from behind. The disc's flames died down, revealing a shield the resembled the sun which flew into Tanner's hands, who was now Solaris since the sun was still out on this side of the world.
"And this is why I'm hot," Solaris stated.
"Perfect timing," said Hex.
Solaris joined the other four in the square to face Ric.
"What's with the get-up?" Solaris asked.
"You're the fifth person to ask that," said Ric as he got to his feet. "So there are still a few potential threats left."
"And don't think we'll fall so easily," said Yellow Fire.
"We're making sure we're very careful you don't do to us what you did to the others," said Hex.
"The others? Your heroes? Your friends?" Ric asked.
"And Rod too," 3rd Wheel added.
"Rod? Rod isn't gone," said Ric.
The five heroes were surprised.
"He isn't?" said Fuchsia Heart.
"He would be if I didn't decide to keep him around," Ric replied.
"Rod hasn't been erased? Then where is he?" Yellow Fire wondered.
"And why isn't he here with us?" 3rd Wheel added.
"I was wondering the same thing. Did he really send his powerless friends here and decide not join them?" said Ric.
"You're not supposed to know who we are!" said Solaris.
"Yeah. It's part of the whole secret identity thing in a superhero," said 3rd Wheel.
"Please. Anyone can see right through those corny outfits. If you really want to remain secret, take hints from the racer and Captain Ra there. At least they hide their faces," Ric scoffed.
"That's Solaris!" Solaris roared.
"What is this, a fashion show? You know why we're here. Hand over the Yresyr and surrender," said Yellow Fire.
"The Yresyr? Is that what you want?" Ric asked.
"What else?" Hex replied.
"Well I don't have it. It's not with me at this particular moment," Ric answered.
"We're not in the mood for games," said Solaris.
"But I am. I fought those putrid Forever Heroes, JUMP, BUMP, and Rights Fighters and they left me disappointed. Maybe because I was too much for them with the Yresyr in my grasp. I've been bored without a little action since then so perhaps you could provide a thrill. It could even been more sporty for me while I'm not using the Yresyr. Besides, I'm just dying to see what Rod sees in you. Show the Kroni what you can do," Ric insisted.
"The Kroni?" said Hex.
"That's the original possessor of the Yresyr Idolfaith told us about," said Fuchsia Heart.
"Why is he calling himself that?" said Yellow Fire.
"He must have some bloated ego if he thinks he owns that title," said 3rd Wheel.
"Yeah. Like "I've got all this power and stuff."" Solaris mocked.
"Well don't keep me waiting. Let the Kroni see just what Roddy Too Hotty's friends are capable of," Ric declared.
Both sides got ready for combat.
"Alright, team. He doesn't seem to have the Yresyr like he said. So we don't have to worry about him erasing us," said 3rd WHeel.
"Then I say we kick his ass and drag him back with us," Solaris suggested.
"Always the hostile type, aren't you?" Hex asked him.
"What's your point?" said Solaris.
"Sure wish Rod was here right now," said 3rd Wheel.
"Well?" Ric asked impatiently.
And then all five heroes started to attack Ricardo, or the Kroni as he calls himself, with everything they had. Anything to stop him while the Yresyr wasn't in his possession.

Overhead, the JUMP aircrafts kept watch of the fight, leaving everything to the five heroes below. Yellow Fire and Fuchsia Heart were attacking Ric together with their fire and heart powers. Just as Yellow Fire was about to launch his flames, Ric punched his fist through a portal, which opened a large one over Yellow Fire who was crushed under a giant hand of Ric's that came out of it. Fuchsia Heart got mad at Ric attacking her comrade and she launched a series of hearts at Ric which surrounded him to put him under her love and kindess influence. Normally this would make someone nice and caring but it didn't seem to have any effect on Ric, which came as a surprise to Fuchsia Heart.
"Why isn't my power working?" she asked baffled.
"Love. It is a beautiful thing, isn't it?" said Ric.
He slashed the two away with a slash wave as Solaris and 3rd Wheel came flying at him from both sides. 3rd Wheel flew into Ric and pushed him in the pathway of Solaris's fireball he was riding on top of. Hex took it from there and froze Ric in midair with her magic, taking control of his body. She swung her hand around in a circle, which made Ric spin around. But unknown to her, Solaris and 3rd Wheel were also under her control and spinning around behind her.
"What! The! Hell! Is! This?!" Solaris cried while spinning.
"Hex! Stop!" 3rd Wheel cried.
Hex turned Ric upside down and slammed him down headfirst onto the ground. The same happened to Solaris and 3rd Wheel. Solaris got back up, a bit peeved about that.
"Easy there, big guy. Don't lose it," 3rd Wheel told him.
Ric struck his scepter in the ground and summoned large, pointy spikes that resembled the Yresyr. Luckily the heroes avoided this attack. The sun had set and the moon was slowly coming out overhead. Solaris looked up at it, took in it's moon light, and transformed into Dark Moon.
"Say "good night!" Dark Moon roared.
He threw his moon blade, which sliced through the spikes, and came at Ric, just barely shaving off a few hairs from his head. Dark Moon jumped at him and shot a series of fast-moving stars from his hand at Ric. Ric disappeared in a portal to avoid them.
"Damn!" Dark Moon groaned.
The heroes looked around for Ric, ready to strike as soon as he reappeared. He reappeared behind Yellow Fire, surprising him.
"Tell me, Yellow Fire. Where were you when your comrades really needed your help?" Ric taunted.
Yellow Fire responded with a swift firey punch which Ric ducked. However, he was met with a knee to his chest after ducking, which knocked him away to the merry-go-round that was there at the square. Ric broke out of it and then he saw the headlights of a car racing toward him at full speed, which knocked him up into the sky. The car transformed into 3rd Wheel himself.
"Handy," he said.
Ric was becoming very frustrated with how he was being easily overpowered by these five. He continued to fight with all his might but the heroes only seemed to counter him. He just couldn't believe it.
"I'm not at full strength without the Yresyr. Maybe I shouldn't have given it to Ivan. And I've almost used up the portion of it's power that I preserved," Ric said in his head.
His scepter was losing it's power as it was depleting from the fight. Ric was growing tired but the five heroes were still rarin' to go.
"Had enough yet?" Yellow Fire asked.
"Kroni?" Dark Moon added.
"It seems I can't do much without the Yresyr's power. I guess I underestimated you thinking I could handle you without it. Maybe if I was up against one of you at a time instead of all at once. Real tough of you so-called superheroes to pick on one person. Especially one who's smaller than all of you. And I thought superheroes fought with honor. Five, strong fighters against poor defenseless me. Maybe if there was more of me to spread around?" said Ric.
Dozens of Ric duplicates appeared and surrounded the whole team, taking up almost half of the square, each of them laughing fiendishly.
"Oh great. One was bad enough," Hex groaned.
"We're surrounded," said Fuchsia Heart.
"Let me at 'em! I'll lay them all down to sleep!" Dark Moon declared.
All the duplicates continued laughing, which was driving the team insane.
"Shut them up! Shut them up!" Yellow Fire cried.
Everyone one of them attacked the duplicates, with their attacks going right through them. Each duplicate disappeared upon being hit.
"Hey, these things aren't real," said 3rd Wheel.
"But there's so many of them," said Fuchsia Heart.
"How do we know which one's the real one?" said Yellow Fire.
Each duplicate thrusts their scepters into a portal, which opened a giant one over the heroes with a giant scepter coming out of it and slicing across the square with it's giant blade.
"Look out!" cried Hex.
Each hero got out of the way of the blade and it vanished into the giant portal it came from. All the duplicates attacked the heroes, with their own attacks going through them, leaving each hero unharmed.
"These things can't even hurt us," said 3rd Wheel.
"Then the real one might be the one we can actually hit and get hurt from," Yellow Fire figured.
"If you think I'm letting that small fry try to hurt me, you're mistaken," Dark Moon stated.
"We'll just have to attack them all. That way we can get rid of the fakes and leave the real one," Hex suggested.
"It's worth a try," Fuchsia Heart agreed.
Every hero attacked as many multiple duplicates as they could. With 3rd Wheel's afterburners, Yellow Fire's flames, Fuchsia Heart's hearts, Hex's spells, and Dark Moon stars. It was a long process of elimination but eventually every duplicate had disappeared and there was no remainder of the real Ricardo.
"We got them all but where is Ric?" said Yellow Fire.
"That coward!" Dark Moon snarled.
All was quiet as the heroes looked around for Ric. Then suddenly a portal opened behind Hex and Ric emerged to attack her.
"Hex! Behind you!" 3rd Wheel cried.
Hex turned smacked Ric with a beam of magic that formed from her arm, knocking him aside. It was the real one alright. Just as Ric was about to land Yellow Fire made an eruption that blasted Ric back up and Fuchsia Heart shot him with a heart blast, Dark Moon with his stars, 3rd Wheel with his afterburners, and Hex with a magical sphere. Ric dropped hard onto the ground, badly beaten and worn out from the fight. The five heroes approached him.
"Make your move, Reindeer Games," said 3rd Wheel.
Ric couldn't believe how beaten he was without the Yresyr to aid him. And without it, he couldn't continue to fight off these five or simply end it by erasing them. He used up the last of his power within his staff as well so it was pointless to continue. He raised his hands and surrendered.
"Good move," said 3rd Wheel.
"Don't believe him. Remember that he fights dirty. He's probably trying to trick us," Yellow Fire warned.
Ric tossed his scepter to them to prove that meant it. Without his scepter, he couldn't do anything now.
"I think he means it," said Hex.
3rd Wheel contacted the JUMP aircrafts overheard through Daphne in his helmet.
"We're good here," he told them.
One of the jets lowered itself to have Ricardo taken away. Hex took his scepter.
"We're done," said 3rd Wheel.
"But he doesn't have the Yresyr," said Yellow Fire
"We have to come back with that too," Fuchsia Heart added.
"We'll take him back to JUMP HQ and force out a confession. It's all we can do. At least we have him," said 3rd Wheel.
The fight was over and the heroes were all set to take Ric with them. But without the Yresyr, their job was not complete yet. They knew they had to find it, wherever it might be. And since Ric was the only one who knew where it was and also the only one the Yresyr trusts, they knew they had to keep him contained. Everyone got ready to leave. 3rd Wheel was wondering about something.
"Something wrong, 3rd Wheel?" Hex asked.
"If Rod was never erased, then where could he be?" 3rd Wheel wondered.

With the surrendered Ricardo in captivity, the heroes flew back to San Francisco to turn him in and to interrogate him on the current whereabouts of the Yresyr. Ricardo was sitting calmly, his scepter held up front and away from him. Hex and Fuchsia Heart were up front with the pilot while 3rd Wheel, Yellow Fire, and Dark Moon watched Ricardo to make sure he didn't try anything. It didn't seem that there was anything he could do anyway with his scepter out of his reach and the Yresyr not in his possession. He had no choice but to go along for the whole ride.
"This guy's supposed to represent this so-called "Kroni", Idolfaith told us about? He's not really so tough," said Dark Moon.
"He even calls himself the Kroni. You think he knows about the story behind the Yresyr too?" Yellow Fire wondered.
"Probably. He was the only one who knew about the Yresyr's power before anyone else so he probably knows the history behind it as well," 3rd Wheel figured.
Hex was talking to Cameron over the jet's speaker.
"Is he saying anything?" Cameron asked.
"Not a word," Hex replied.
"Just get him here. We'll force a confession out of him," said Cameron.
The three guys of the team continued to keep their eye on Ric. Yellow Fire was a little suspicious, however.
"I don't like it," he whispered to 3rd Wheel.
"What? Bravocado giving up so easily?" 3rd Wheel replied.
"I don't remember it being that easy. He fakes defeat, he could be faking surrender," said Yellow Fire.
"If he is, what can he do? Without his power source he can't do anything to us," 3rd Wheel stated.
"This guy packs a wallop. He's never been this strong," said Yellow Fire.
"Why are you so suspicious? Something happen while you were in Antarctica and Green Ice tried to make you into a Yellowsicle?" 3rd Wheel asked.
Ric turned and looked at Dark Moon who gave him a mean, dirty look which Ric found disturbing and turned away.
"Cameron didn't tell me he was calling you in," said Yellow Fire.
"Yeah. There's a lot of things Cameron doesn't tell you," said 3rd Wheel.
Suddenly thunder crashed and lightning struck in the sky the JUMP jet was flying through.
"Where is this coming from?" Fuchsia Heart wondered.
Ric was looking a little worried.
"What's the matter? Scared of a little thunder?" Yellow Fire asked.
"I'm not overly fond of what comes before it," Ric replied.
The weather was getting worse and rattling the whole jet through the storm. A bolt of lightning strikes the wing of the jet and manifests into me. I was wearing the helmet Vic built, with matching blue metallic armor, a shining plate across my chest, boots, and a pair of gloves with razors on the fingers. My name displayed in comic text.
THE MIGHTY LIGHTNING
"Something's out there," said Dark Moon.
I struck my razors into the side of the jet and started to shred away at it to get inside. 3rd Wheel put his helmet on in case whatever was trying to get in attacked.
"What is that?" Yellow Fire wondered.
The lights in the jet all went out from the weather. I tore the side of the jet off and got in. With the lights out, neither of us could distinguish each other so 3rd Wheel was unable to recognize me and I was unable to recognize him. He came forward to stop me, thinking I was an enemy, and I slashed at him, with electricity from my razors, pushing him back. I grabbed Ricardo and jumped out the jet taking him with me. Ric managed to break free of my grasp and the two of us fought in the sky as lightning and red, cosmic energy until I dived down on him, driving him down to the Earth. 3rd Wheel got to his feet.
"Now there's that guy," he groaned.
Hex and Fuchsia Heart saw the whole thing. Could that have possibly been the other watcher Idolfaith spoke of previously?
"The Descender of the Storm?" Hex wondered.
"The one Idolfaith told us about?" said Sabrina.
"He's punier than I imagined," said Dark Moon.
"Do you think he's friendly?" Yellow Fire wondered.
"Doesn't matter. If he frees Ricardo or kills him, the Yresyr's lost," said 3rd Wheel.
3rd Wheel heads for the opening to follow after Ric and I.
"3rd Wheel, we need a plan of attack," Yellow Fire suggested.
"I have a plan. Attack!" 3rd Wheel stated.
He followed after us with his jets. Dark Moon summoned a comet and followed suit. Yellow Fire got his cape on him to go too.
"I'd sit this one out, Fire," Hex suggested a bit concerned.
"I don't see how I can," Yellow Fire denied.
"These guys come from lore, they're basically Gods," Hex stated.
"There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that," Yellow Fire replied.
With that, Yellow Fire flew out the jet and after all of us. The three heroes in pursuit were going to get Ric back, who proclaims himself to be the Kroni. Although I had other plans for him, I had no idea that those were my friends back there nor did they know that was really me. Their only idea was that the person that was just there was the so-called "Mighty" Idolfaith told them about. Hopefully this whole misunderstanding would be sorted out soon.

To be continued...
The heroic recruits, minus one, have come together to find out what they're up against. Idolfaith also arrives and shares with them the stories behind the Yresyr and it's original possessor known as the Kroni and the one who stopped him referred to as the Mighty. Afterward, the heroes find Ricardo in Italy and get a taste of his power. However, without the Yresyr in his current possession, Ricardo can not fight at full strength and quickly becomes outmatched and surrenders. He's taken away to San Francisco for interrogation when an unexpected guest appears, after learning what he had been missing.
